Last June I had the pleasure of performing at Fusion Evolution in Chicago with my dear friends @carminetguida and @middleagednerd5 backing me up with some lovely tunes. The entire set was improvised and planned in only a few minutes, which is one of my favorite things to do. There's truly no better energy I've ever felt than when musicians and dancers create art in the moment, on stage together. This June I will be back in Chicago teaching workshops on dancing to live music and Middle Eastern music for belly dancers. I am so stoked to share all I've learned about from my over 15 years of dancing and playing with so many incredible musicians.
