Thyssenkrupp Older VR Traction Tower #3 Elevators at Wyndham Ocean Boulevard, N. Myrtle Beach, SC

Filmed March 2019. This was definitely interesting.....Literally EVERY Tower in this property had Otis, and yet somehow, TK managed to get their hands on installing these..... I wonder why they installed these, but the 2 identical towers next to it (which were built the same year as this one) have Series 5, and the tower across the Street has Newer Series 1.... Very Strange.... Also, this is my 2nd or 3rd time seeing a TK with the VERY RARE Older VR Fixtures, but as you can see, the call stations have for some reason been replaced with Concave MAD BP Recently..... Very Interesting.... Also, notice the size of the indicator and how there is no chime.... Cab wise, these look just like the Otises.... As for the ride quality, unfortunately, it is just as bad as the Otises in the neighboring towers.... These things rattle and squeak a LOT, and while open and stopped as you will see, the elevator SANK and decided to UNDERLEVEL ITSELF while it was open!!!!! That could easily have caused someone to trip!!!! So yeah, bottom line is, this place NEEDS to FIX their elevators!!!!! With that all being said, enjoy the video of these Strange and Cool, albeit crappy and neglected elevators..... Installed: Circa 2007-2008
