We've achieved the impossible! We've created our own final drive for all-terrain vehicles—an equivalent of the Kharkiv model, but entirely Russian! In this video, we explain how our team developed, tested, and launched a new final drive for all-terrain vehicles into mass production. This is a complete replacement for the unit that was produced for decades at the Kharkiv plant during the Soviet era. In the Soviet era, final drives for all-terrain vehicles were manufactured at the Kharkiv plant. They operated for decades—reliable, powerful, and proven in the harshest conditions. But with the collapse of the USSR, this production facility was lost. For a long time, Russia had no equivalent. And so, we decided to do something no one had done before. We created a new transmission—one that takes into account modern loads, materials, and technological realities. We weren't working on this project alone: ​​we collaborated with Russian partners, cast and machined the parts, and adapted the assembly. As a result, today almost all components—from the housing to the gears—are manufactured in Russia. Almost 100% of everything is ours. The only exception is the oil filter. We are now ready for mass production. Our final drive is more than just a new part. It is a complete replacement for discontinued units, a step toward technological independence, and a contribution to the revival of heavy engineering in Russia. We have proven that import substitution is possible. We have revived a key component of the domestic engineering school. We have shown that a new industry in Russia is a reality.
