XL Carwash

*Special thanks to Guy for showing me around!!!* XL Carwash is the busiest car wash in Belgium. Built in 2011, the site was expanded with a second (left) wash tunnel in 2015. It is also the first location to have the modern version of the "in-wash-tunnel polish tunnel" concept that has become popular in the Netherlands and Belgium. Each wash tunnel has a 60m long Holz Autowaschtechnik conveyor and plenty of equipment. Both tunnels have HD-FSH and HD-RAWA wheel blasters, 2 manifold volume arch, spinner wheel blasters, a Manders Automation top brush with the following feature disabled, 2 sets of Holz PE196 wheel brushes, 2 sets of Holz entrance facing trailing wraps, 2 Holz standard top brushes, PE118 and PE135 side washers, PE250 grill brushes, and a 3 manifold Holz Mega-Power high pressure arch for washing, Peco WA372 wrap/Van Kessel top brush combo modules for polishing (reinstalled after they were removed from a polish tunnel that used to be onsite), a 4 producer Holz drying system, and a double side to side retractable mitter for drying. XL Carwash has Brushcom materials on all their equipment, with C-Flex Hybrid on the top brushes, MicroAct cloth on the wraps and side washers, and MicroDry on the drying mitters. The only differences between the left and right tunnels are that 1 of the left tunnel's top brushes has Brushcom Hover material and the right tunnel's polishing wraps have been modified to allow the coupler to be higher. Prior to the 2015 remodel, XL Carwash had a Peco polish tunnel onsite, as well as a Manders Automation profiler and several other different components in the original (right) wash tunnel. XL Carwash uses Sireon chemicals, and their top program includes the lava bath, lava polish, protectant, double wheel cleaning, and underbody.
