The perfect defense against 1.d4 · Training Game
I got to play my favorite defense against d4, and probably my favorite chess opening - the Semi-Slav Defense. My opponent did not know a lot so he ended up getting first an equal then a worse position very early on. The queen's gambit is strong, and the Semi-Slav avoids many complications white could opt for. It gives black a very solid position in which a slight error could put white on the defensive, as it happened in this game.
