My Summertime

MY SUMMERTIME ELLEN SAGH Back to the lake; gets easier every year Living in the moment; no longer any fear Found a place to be; where I can relax Enjoy whatever’s happening; nothing from the past Sleeping in, sleeping sound Sun or wind; rain or shine This is where I live My summertime Swinging in the hammock; reading a good book Going for a walk; down by the brook Watching birds build a nest; staring at the trees Clouds rolling overhead; the rustling of the leaves Ch Catch up with our talking; catch up with my kids Think of things coming up or what I want to rid A place where I don’t think; forget to even talk Smile and eat; treat myself; I’ve become a rock.
