With only instrumental music and the sound of the city, this journey explores three different realities of Panama—social, architectural, and cultural—through a single continuous drive. The route begins in Las Cumbres, Panama Norte, passing through Los Andes and parts of San Miguelito, following the Transístmica. Here, the city shows its first face: middle-class neighborhoods and working-class areas, dense, lived-in, and full of everyday life. Homes are close together, streets are active, and the rhythm of the city feels raw and authentic. As the drive continues, the landscape shifts through industrial zones, transitioning into a second reality: middle to upper-middle class residential areas. In Betania, taller buildings begin to appear, streets open up, and the architecture becomes more vertical and organized, reflecting a different pace and lifestyle. The final stretch passes through Calidonia and Perejil, reaching Plaza 5 de Mayo, then continuing along Avenida de los Mártires until arriving at Cinta Costera. Here, the city transforms dramatically. The skyline rises, the ocean opens up, and Panama takes on a look often compared to Miami—modern, polished, and high-status, yet still colorful and full of character. The drive concludes in the Banking District and Obarrio, where glass towers and wide avenues define the city’s most global face.
