Clearcover Inspired Underdog: Katie Kotlowski - Women's Ice Hockey - Defenseman - University of Wisconsin Katie Kotlowski had dreamed of becoming a Badger since she was a young girl. In order to make that dream possible, Katie moved out of her hometown, away from her family at the young age of 13 to live with a host family so she could play ice hockey. It was extremely trying for Katie to be away from her family at such a crucial time in her development, when having that bond with her family felt so vital. However, the sacrifices Katie made and the support of her family are what helped her succeed and become the player she is today. Finally a Badger, Katie helped her team become National Champions this past year. Katie volunteers for the youth Special Olympics and Arts for All, an organization that provides programs in dance, drama, creative writing, music, and visual art for children and adults with disabilities. While big insurance companies have been sponsoring professional athletes for years, Clearcover is an up-and-coming car insurance company that wants to sponsor student-athlete up-and-comers as official Clearcover athletes.
