Language historian Luca Serianni, Vice President of the Dante Alighieri Society from 2010 to 2022, offers these short video lessons as an excursus on the history of the Italian language. In recounting its evolution from its origins to the present day, Serianni includes the works of some great authors such as Dante, Petrarch, and Manzoni, who have marked key moments in the development of our language.
