Everything ingenious is simple, right? And that includes ventilation systems! As promised, I'm sharing a heat exchanger for ventilating a frame house. Watch and bookmark this. We're building a 140 sq. m house using double-frame technology and installing a ventilation system with heat recovery, humidification, and a ground collector. Underground, below the freezing level, the soil temperature is always above freezing. It ranges from +5 to +7°C in winter and from +10 to +12°C in summer. At a depth of 1.4-1.8 m, we install a system of air ducts that act as a heat exchanger between the ground and the air. Air passing through the ducts is heated in winter and cooled in summer by contact with the duct walls. In other words, the geothermal circuit provides high-quality heat exchange year-round, virtually free of charge. Simple, right? In summer, condensation can form in the ducts as the supply air cools. To drain the pipe, we lay it at a 3 mm slope per meter from the house. A 500-degree deep gravel backfill is installed at the property line. The estimated pipeline length is 60 meters. According to preliminary estimates, in winter, with an intake air temperature of -20 degrees Celsius, we expect the air entering the house to be between -5 and 0 degrees Celsius. Interested?
