How to be Mulan | Florence Xiong | TEDxFAUJupiter

As a second generation Asian-American, Florence grew up watching Mulan. To this day Mulan is still her favorite "Disney Princess" and she wants to look at the ways leadership is emphasized through different cultural lens. Florence is a Biology major at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University. Even though she is a science major, Florence loves taking humanity classes. She thinks that challenging your brain in various ways opens up the mind to different points of views. That is why cultural diversity is an important aspect of community that should be cultivated. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
