Meet the Official Asunta 7: Approved for Its Rare Red Flower, Appealing Fruit, and Phenomenal Taste!

Today was a special day as we gathered at Edgar’s house for another dragon fruit tasting session with Kim, Eyal, Alik, Frank, and Eddie. The timing couldn’t have been better, as I had just harvested both Asunta 7 varieties: the red flower and the white flower. I am pleased to introduce the red flower variety as the official Asunta 7, now officially approved by Edgar and given the nickname Sunshine for its light green and yellow tones that resemble the warmth of sunshine. The fruit showcases a remarkable flower shape, and with its first season brix measured at 16.5, we all agreed that the official Asunta 7 offers a sweetness far exceeding the brix value, carrying the melon-like sweetness of Asunta 4.
