One Of Cus D’amato’s Last Students — Main Moore Full Interview
Hello and welcome to the Peekaboo Boxing Academy! In today’s video, Carter sits down and interviews special guest Main Moore, who is one of the last living men to have been trained in the Cus style, under the tutelage of Cus D’amato and Teddy Atlas. Main was a master of the Cus style, not just proficient in the orthodox stance — but in the southpaw stance as well. He had over one hundred fights with not even a handful of losses. He is a well of wisdom and boxing knowledge. In 1977, Main came to Cus D’amato’s Catskill Boxing Club with no confidence whatsoever. In this interview, Main details his journey learning the Cus style and stepping into his confidence. Additionally, he shares some of the most important lessons that he learned from Cus and Teddy, as well as some interesting stories including the likes of Mike Tyson, who was his childhood training partner and friend.
