《祈雨》 作曲｜關迺忠 指揮｜周聖文 場次｜2018竹塹國樂節－群英爭揮 日期｜2018.07.13 地點｜新竹市文化局演藝廳 本曲是作曲家關迺忠先生於一九八九年六月創作。全曲採用了台灣原住民同胞的歌曲 簡單音調發展而成。樂曲第一段是描繪天旱無雨、人們的苦難。樂曲採用了一種帕薩卡里亞的形式，在一個固定的低音上以變奏的形式展開，這固定低音旋律就來自其後的民歌旋律中。慢慢，祈雨儀式開始了。舞蹈的節奏越來越強烈。在高潮時響起了雷 聲，雨終於降臨。音樂由小調轉入大調，甜美的旋律像是向乾旱土地灑甘霖，也像是 人們感恩上天。在傾盆大雨中人們再次歡慶歌舞。樂曲在熱烈的氣氛中結束。 -------- “Rain Dance” Composer｜Guan Nai-Chung Conductor｜Chou Sheng-Wun Concert｜2018 Hsinchu Chinese Music Festival - “Young Conductors Contend” Date｜2018.07.13 Venue｜Hsinchu Performing Arts Center, Taiwan Rain Dance was composed in June, 1989 using the folk tunes of industrious people in Taiwan as inspiration. The piece begins with a "passacaglia" form which the bassline will recapitulate later in the folk tune. The drone-like bass depicts dried-up lands and people suffering in drought. Slowly the ritual of rain dance begins, the groove of dancing is getting louder and louder, finally with the thunder signifying the climax, it starts raining. The music turns bright and warm after it changes to major mode, resembling the rain nurturing the dry earth and the ode of the people towards heaven. The dance rhythm finally recapitulates, only that it symbolizes the ecstatic dance of people in the rain, ending the piece in vigor and joy.
