The project is based on the real stories of eight Ukrainian women, whose lives were changed by Russian aggression and the war in Ukraine. Each story of the project is a confession of the heroine, a first-person story - without outside judgments and comments. These are 8 short stories, 8 separate, independent episodes, each of which from different angles shows the viewer the truth of the war in Ukraine, its tragedy and the heroism of the fighters against the Russian occupier. Each story is special in its own way, each woman has her own fate, her own joy and sorrow. War is always a women's affair. Because women suffer the most during war, they always suffer. After all, they are, first of all, mothers of soldiers who go to the front to defend the Motherland, mothers of small children who try to save their babies from the horrors of war; they are women who, between motherhood and civic duty, choose the latter and stand next to men in military uniform, defending their Motherland. They most often become paramedics and go to save the lives of soldiers on the front line. Today, Ukraine is waging war with the Russian occupier not only for the existence of its state, but also for the democratic values ​​of the civilized world, for the existence of world peace - this is a struggle between good and evil. And the woman is again paying the highest price. Today, in the image of the Ukrainian woman-mother, the Christian world obviously also sees a biblical plot: on the one hand, the Virgin Mary, who saves her newborn son from the persecution of the cruel Tsar Herod. And on the other hand, the Mother of God, who, like thousands of Ukrainian women, bends in grief over the tortured body of her Son - he gave his life for the future of humanity! And she accepts this sacrifice, must live with this unhealed wound. ● Tatiana is now known to the world as the “Kyiv Madonna”. A photo of a Hungarian photographer who captured a young Ukrainian woman, hiding from shelling in the Kyiv subway, feeding her tiny daughter Mariyka, has become an icon in an Italian church. The woman with the baby in the subway is Tetyana Bliznyak. The icon with the image of the modern Madonna was proposed to be installed in the temple of Naples by Ukrainian priest Vyacheslav Okun. And it became a sensation!
