Lali Espósito and Mariano Martínez were on El diario de Mariana and shared all the behind-the-scenes details of Esperanza mía and previewed what the play, which will premiere on July 4th at the Opera Alliance Theater, will be like. "I tempt myself a lot during recordings and get challenged," Lali confessed. "It happens to us a lot; we have a lot of fun," Mariano added. When asked if there's room for improvisation in the scenes, they agreed that "when there are comedy sections, they allow us to bring ideas or go off-script." They then gave a preview of what will be seen in the theater. “It's like spending a day at the convent, with the great news that they're coming to get the choir to compete in a contest, the winner of which will travel to Rome to sing before our Pope,” Lali anticipated. She added: “Obviously, there will also be the love stories between Father Tomás and Esperanza and that of Lola and Pedro.” Mariano had to answer the toughest question. Are the priest and the novice going to kiss in the theater? “I don't want to say something and then get scolded. Something could happen,” he blurted out. “I'm leaving my phone behind,” Lali joked, as she pretended to stand up and leave. “There will be some big surprises,” she concluded when she returned to her seat.
