Qosmio Shutdown Soon After Power On *DIY FIX* in English

Here's the cheapest way to fix the sudden power down of the Toshiba Qosmio laptop yourself. The model featured is the X500-11G which is pretty old, but still a very powerful device. It shuts down suddenly after booting - which is demonstrated - and if your laptop does the same thing then this fix is well worth considering. Note that sudden power downs can also be related to overheating, but the laptop in this video clearly isn't working for long enough for that to be the cause. I had a bit of déjà vu when fixing the laptop... so I checked back... and I have seen a Qosmio before!    • Qosmio X70 Overheating and Slow Boot *DIY ...   That's the X70-A-12W and overheating wasn't an issue with the X500-11G - it was left on for 12 hours after the fix and didn't shut down. You can buy a new battery, but even the original battery life wasn't great and you'll now be limited to 'replacement' and 'compatible' batteries which I tend to stay away from. Running on the mains isn't going to be a problem and the laptop in this video has pretty much spent all its life doing that anyway.
