Crear escalas musicales: así inventas tu propio lenguaje sonoro

Is it possible to create our own musical scales? Yes, absolutely. In this lesson, you'll learn how our musical system works and how you can combine whole tones, half tones, and tones and a half to create entirely new scales with an original melodic and harmonic language. We start with the essentials: the 12-semitone system, the seven natural notes, the five altered notes, and how they are organized to form major and minor scales and their variations. From these rules, you'll see what combinations are possible and how any sequence that adds up to six whole tones can become a valid scale within our musical system. Then we'll build a scale from scratch, analyze its structure (W – m – W – Wm – m – W – m), and apply it melodically. Afterward, we'll take the experiment to harmony: how to build chords in thirds on each note of our scale and what sounds emerge. This type of exercise opens up immense possibilities for composition, film music, creating atmospheres, improvisation, and designing your own musical languages.
