The Mischaracterization of District 4 in the Hunger Games Fandom

or: finnick odair volunteered for the hunger games peep how my pigtail sags more and more as the vid progresses! my main point is that district 4 is the exact same type of career district that district 1 is, and any headcanons saying otherwise are just headcanons because the books never even suggest d4 is any different. therefore, finnick and annie were volunteers, because, again, the book treats d4 as just any other career district. it took me 2 weeks to accept this when i first found out and i spent a rly long time in delusion and thinking "ooo d4 is a semi-career" despite that never being stated in the books if anything in this video came off as mean-spirited, that was never my intention, and the thought that i might have really upset someone makes me want to die. this was supposed to be a funny haha laugh rant. this video isn't meant to offend! only to entertain. i hyperbolize and throw around words like "stupid" because this is a rant above all else and this channel is meant for me to rant. i swear it's never personal. if you want a more polite, well-reasoned breakdown of most of what i said here, there are some amazing tumblr posts out there that explain it beautifully without all the dramatics.
