Single-leg "foot in strap" is a great way to get past the gluteus maximus and target the glute medius, glute minimus, and those "Deep 6" hip rotators. These progressions put an insanely real challenge to Pilates' classic side leg series. If you don't have a reformer, you can do the same moves, side-lying with a long exercise band or Thera-band, and just hold it to the mat in front of you. Almost the same thing!
