Des oasis au désert, offroad : on a failli se perdre 🇲🇦
🇲🇦 We thought we'd seen everything Morocco had to offer, but this road trip in a van through the far south completely transformed our journey! In this new episode of Adventure on the Menu, we turn off the GPS and forget about the usual tourist routes. Our trip in an Opel Vivaro begins amidst the lunar landscapes of Tafraout and its famous painted rocks, before plunging into the absolute tranquility of the Aït Mansour Gorges—probably the most beautiful place we've ever seen. On the agenda: a delicious Berber omelet, improbable geological formations, and local tracks marked by recent floods. On the way to Tiznit, we meet the locals, from a passionate beekeeper with his unique language to a knife-sharpening craftsman right in the street. Then it's off to the ocean and the intensely red cliffs of Mirleft! The perfect opportunity for Virginia's Botanical Minute, dedicated to the ice plant, this surprising succulent that carpets the coastline. We end this adventure by venturing even further south, where cell service disappears, the temperature soars to nearly 40°C, and the road isn't even listed on Google Maps. We don't know exactly where we're going, but that's the true magic of van life! We love sharing our Opel Vivaro DIY projects, so if you have any questions about our conversion, ask them in the comments! 📌 On the agenda for this Moroccan travel vlog: 00:00 - The intro that makes you want to go 00:27 - The painted rocks of Tafraout and a nomadic bivouac 03:27 - Splendor and tranquility in the Aït Mansour Gorges 06:13 - A break among the palm trees: the Berber omelet 07:53 - Unlikely geology 10:53 - Meeting the beekeeper at sunrise 12:54 - Visiting Tiznit and traditional knife sharpening 14:32 - Mirleft: surfing, palm trees, and red cliffs 15:37 - Virginie's botanical minute: the Ice Plant 18:30 - Alone in the world: the unknown road of the Great South 21:57 - Guelmim in 40°C heat 22:54 - This is real adventure!
