Whittier’s Best Kept Secrets! A 70-Year Antique Shop & a Burger Spot I’ve Never Tried

Today I spent the day exploring two Whittier spots — one rooted in history and the other in classic old school burger joint. First stop: A to Z Mart, an antique shop that has been part of Whittier for over 70 years. Since 2006, the shop has been run by a brother-and-sister team, Alex and Rosaura, who have done an incredible job curating unique pieces and keeping this local favorite alive. Every corner of the store is filled with treasures waiting to be discovered, and it’s one of those places you can visit time and time again. All that shopping worked up my appetite, so I made my way out to North Whittier to finally try Hamburger Express. This throwback burger joint has been talked about for years, and I had to see what the buzz was about. Tucked away off the beaten path, it’s a classic spot serving up the kind of burgers people come back for. It was the perfect day of eating and shopping local, and I can’t wait to share the experience with you. 📍 A to Z Mart Whittier, CA – In operation for 70 years 12734 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90602 📍 Hamburger Express North Whittier, CA – A throwback burger joint worth the trip 2060 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601 #Whittier #HiddenGems #AToZMart #HamburgerExpress #WhittierAntiques #WhittierFood #supportlocalvloggers --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visit our Pop Up 10046 Scott Ave. Whittier, CA 90603 Located inside Scott Storage front office Hours: Monday – Saturday 10-1 & 2-5:30 Note: Saturday the only forms of payment we take are Zelle, Venmo & Cash MY WHITTIER VAN SPONSORS : Scott Storage MSF Fitness Lovell's Record Shop Wild Poppy Salon & Makers Market Sean Boehm Medicare specialist Heart and Soul Yoga and Wellness JFG Print Company Bricks and Mini Figs Whittier Coby Madison Jewelers Poolsaad Family Vision PIZZAMANIA Sponsorship inquiries please contact me: [email protected]
