Biblical Hebrew w/o Fear 14, part 2— I Like, Prefer & Think | Lesson 14#biblicalhebrew #hebrewvocab
Learn Biblical Hebrew through practical Modern Hebrew in this second part of Lesson 14 of Biblical Hebrew Without Fear! In this we begin to learn how to express likes, preferences, and opinions using common Modern Hebrew present-tense forms: אֲנִי אוֹהֵב — ani ohev — I like / I love אֲנִי מַעֲדִיף — ani ma’adif — I prefer אֲנִי חוֹשֵׁב — ani choshev — I think You will learn how to say: • I like to read Hebrew. • I love the Torah. • She prefers to write. • We prefer to study at home. • I think the book is good. • What do you think? • Do you prefer to read or speak? This lesson builds directly on our previous study of Hebrew infinitives and expressions such as: אֲנִי רוֹצֶה — I want אֲנִי יָכוֹל — I can אֲנִי צָרִיךְ — I need אֲנִי חַיָּב — I must We will practice real Modern Hebrew sentences, present-tense verb forms, masculine and feminine forms, questions, negatives, guided readings, conversations, and translation exercises. Then we will connect these Modern Hebrew expressions to important Biblical Hebrew roots and passages, including: א־ה־ב — to love ח־שׁ־ב — to think, consider, or reckon ע־ד־ף — to exceed or have preference This course is designed for complete beginners who want to learn Hebrew gradually, naturally, and without fear. By beginning with useful Modern Hebrew, students develop the vocabulary and grammatical recognition needed to approach the Hebrew Bible with greater confidence. Read Hebrew. Speak Hebrew. Recognize Biblical Hebrew.
