Thinking About Becoming a Barrister? A First‑Year Career Guide

This joint Inns of Court introductory session is designed for first‑year undergraduates who are curious about a career as a barrister. In this session, we explain what barristers do, the skills involved, and the training pathway from university onwards. We also discuss the funding options for the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and the Bar Course. The recording is ideal for students who are exploring their options early and want to learn more before making any decisions. The event was chaired by Jess Brown, Outreach Co-ordinator at Inner Temple. We were joined by pupils Sophia Pascoe (1 Crown Office Row, Brighton), Daniel Levya (Francis Taylor Building, London) and Liv Mould (9BR Chambers, London).
