Endlich DA: KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR | Review

Kill Bill – Volume 1 is the first part of a two-part action film starring Uma Thurman. The fourth film directed by Quentin Tarantino himself, it revolves around the central theme of revenge. While the first part relies heavily on martial arts scenes and draws on the visual style of the Eastern genre, the second part primarily incorporates elements of the Spaghetti Western. Kill Bill – Volume 1 was released in German cinemas in October 2003, followed by Kill Bill – Volume 2 in April 2004. The film was not originally planned as a two-parter; however, since the final cut was four hours long and Tarantino was unwilling to significantly shorten it for theatrical release, he opted for a two-part format. There were repeated announcements of a single-part release (as Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair). The release was repeatedly postponed and finally appeared in December 2025. Tarantino dedicated both parts to the actor Charles Bronson, who died in 2003.
