ROWING TECHNIQUE: WHY PAUSING AFTER THE FINISH MAKES A LOT OF SENSE (at low steady state)

In low steady state rowing, a definete pause at the finish is often debated. Does it make sense or not? In my humble opinion, it does. Moreover, I perceive it to be upmost helpful to prepare your technique for race pace - where almost not pause is left. Some could argue that this is not so much a pause but more a slow motion, with lots of focus on trunk tension and pelvic control. This will work as well, as long as the sequence is kept clean at stroke rates 30+.
