Most of this planet is still genuinely unexplored, not "hard to reach," but untouched by any human being in all of history. In this video we descend through five of the most remote places in and under the ocean, from a 300-meter blue hole where the water itself turns toxic, to a lake sealed under four kilometers of Antarctic ice for 15 million years. These are the last unknown places on Earth. And once you know what's down there, you'll understand how little of our own planet we've actually seen. A NOTE ON ACCURACY This channel is about curiosity grounded in real science. A few clarifications worth making: the Tonga Trench has had exactly one crewed descent — Victor Vescovo in 2019 — which is part of why it makes this list; it remains one of the least-explored deep places on Earth.
