Persolaise Love At First Scent 21 - live perfume reviews - feat. Paco Rabanne, Burberry, D&G

Episode 21 of Love At First Scent This was a Facebook Live broadcast streamed on Sunday 28th October 2018. Unscripted. Unedited. Unrehearsed. Perfumes covered in this video include: The One Mysterious Night from Dolce & Gabbana (at the start of the video) Pure XS edp from Paco Rabanne (at the 14:00 minute mark) Erawan from Dusita (at the 28:00 minute mark) Her from Burberry (at the 45:00 minute mark) and the classic scent was Encre Noire from Lalique (at the 37:00 minute mark) [Samples of all of the above provided by the brands, except for the Lalique, which is from my personal collection] — Blotter update: The D&G isn’t as easy to dismiss as I feared it might be. Yes, the woody-amber horror is still present, but some of the balsams and resins in the base are, to an extent, making up for its crudeness. The Paco Rabanne is still playing a fairly predictable white floral + gourmand tune. The Dusita has become a touch too faint, but it remains curious and intriguing. Encre Noire is in full vetivert mode, as expected. The Burberry is very strongly projecting the sticky-cough-syrup-cum-cleaning-detergent base of Kurkdjian’s own Baccarat Rouge. I know the latter has hordes of fans, but I can’t say I’m one of them.
