Food and NF: Two insights into diet and its affect on NF

Food for thought: What we know about diet and supplements for NF - by Dr. Kaleb Yohay, NYU Langone Health Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Center --- Dr. Kaleb Yohay completed his pediatrics and neurology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. While on faculty there, he co-founded the Johns Hopkins Neurofibromatosis Center. Currently, Dr. Yohay is a Professor of Clinical Neurology and Pediatrics and Director of the NYU Langone Health Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Center in New York City, one of the largest and most active neurofibromatosis clinics in the United States. His medical practice is devoted entirely to the care of children and adults with NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis. He is particularly interested in developing best practices for symptom screening, treatment, and age-appropriate anticipatory guidance for children and adults with neurofibromatosis, and recently participated in the publication of the first clinical guidelines for the management of adults with NF1. Obesogenic diet as modulator of tumor penetrance in NF1 optic pathway glioma - by Dr. Nicole Brossier, Washington University --- Dr. Nicole Brossier received her MD and PhD at the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine. She then completed her Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, where she remained as a member of the faculty after completion of her clinical training. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, with a clinical and scientific focus on NF1 patients with Central Nervous System tumors. In her life as a scientist, she works to understand the neurodevelopmental, genetic and environmental factors that modulate glioma risk in kids with NF1.
