With Aura still hellbent on accusing Athena of her own Mother's murder it's time to get the cross examination underway! As Detective Fulbright takes the stand to read out Aura's theory, Nick presses everything to find a hole in her logic. Aura believes her brother is covering for Athena, who used one of the rolling cases within the robotics lab to smuggle Athena from the crime scene to maintain her innocence. But Nick wonders if something else could have also been smuggled out in the large case instead. The crime scene photos note various dismantled robot parts, along with Simon holding a katana. But these parts were missing from the crime scene. It is the defences assertion that Ponco was dismantled with the katana, as the disassembly table has Metis' body upon it. Then he put Ponco in the case, rather than Athena, and wheeled her away, therefore proving Athena wasn't near the lab at the time. But Edgeworth as been awaiting this moment to show Simon's surcoat, imprinted with a bloody outline of Athena's old headphones, suggesting he could have merely carried her in his arms. And when Ponco takes the stand and tells the court that Athena "hugged" Metis and then she "fell down", it's back to square one! Was Aura theory correct after all?
