The population of Rio de Janeiro protested this Friday (11) against the precarious state of the BRT, the rapid transit bus system. Passengers closed one of the city's main roads in a demonstration against overcrowding, dilapidated vehicles, vandalized stations and irregular schedules. Serious problems that Eduardo Paes's administration has failed to resolve. The BRT has already been the target of corruption allegations and a former secretary of Paes was even convicted of receiving bribes.
