"Hanacpachap Cussicuinin" fue la primera y más antigua obra polifónica en imprimirse en América (Perú,1631), la cual aparece en la parte final del manual para Sacerdotes escrito en Quechua y español, titulado "Ritual formulario" de Juan Pérez de Bocanegra; que hace referencia a las tradiciones Cristianas e Incas. Pérez de Bocanegra fue un párroco Franciscano, maestro de universidad y un cantor en la Catedral que trabajó muy de cerca y con simpatía con los aldeanos de los Andes. Pérez de Bocanegra trabajó en Lima y Cuzco, y tuvo muchas controversias con los Jesuitas. Hanacpachap es un himno cristiano de adoración a la Virgen María. escrito totalmente en lengua Quechua. El himno está escrito para 4 voces en versos Sáficos para ser cantados en Procesión. La obra está compuesta por 20 versos, donde cada verso está formado por 5 líneas de 8 sílabas, seguidas por una frase de 4 sílabas, impresa en itálicas en el manuscrito original. Esta obra está formada de un lenguaje complejo lleno de extraordinarias imágenes Cristianas, Celestes e Indígenas.
