Max Pezzali's new album, Qualcosa di nuovo, is released on Friday, October 30th. A long-developed album, it nevertheless manages to encapsulate the entire philosophy of Max Pezzali in 2020. Qualcosa di nuovo is, in a certain sense, a generational project, easily resonating with those—like the singer-songwriter—who have several decades behind them. Without, however, forgoing the engagement with the new, which is essential for reaching precise conclusions about oneself. "We arrived too young to be old and too old to be young," says Max. "We don't belong to any era, and we're not perfect for either the geological or the current one, but we can live in both. At 52, you don't feel the need to make a new album if you don't have something to say.
