Three trucks carrying paddy had arrived at a rice mill during the early hours of the morning. While two drivers had stepped out near their parked trucks, a speeding container truck coming from Bhawanipatna allegedly lost control and crashed into the stationary vehicles. The impact was so severe that the two drivers were dragged nearly 50 feet, leading to their death on the spot. Police reached the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them for postmortem. The container driver initially fled the spot, but police later managed to apprehend him. An investigation into the incident is underway.
