A Better Mosquito? Unboxing DBMK’s 1/32 DH.103 Hornet F.Mk 3
DBMK’s 1/32 Hornet https://www.mannsmodelmoments.com DBMK’s 1/32 de Havilland DH.103 Hornet F.3 is a pretty special release: a limited-edition large-scale kit of one of the most beautiful post-war British aircraft, and technically DBMK’s first kit — despite the Sea Fury confusion around kit numbering. In this unboxing, I take a detailed look at what you get in the box: 21 individually wrapped low-pressure injection-moulded plastic frames, Cartograf decals, extensive stencils, Eduard pre-painted photo-etch, high-pressure moulded shared weapons and transparencies, and a selection of beautifully protected 3D printed parts including cockpit components, exhausts, cannon pieces and wheels. At £125, it is not cheap — but it is a large 1/32 Hornet, with clever engineering, strong internal structure, restrained surface detail, and smart use of 3D printing and photo-etch where the detail really matters.
