Corsair Commander Duo - Everything you need to know

Hello! This is The Provoked Prawn talking to you about the ‪@corsair‬ Commander Duo. The Commander Duo is a fan controller for Corsair's ARGB PWM fans that's designed to replace the older Commander Core and Commander Core XT. It's worth noting though, that this controller only works with the ARGB fans - i.e. the RS120, RS140 and RS120-R fans currently and won't support older Corsair fans with the "to RGB hub" labels on RGB cables. What's interesting here is the Commander Duo supports: Up to 12 PWM/ARGB fans (6 per channel) Up to 100 LEDs over the two ARGB headers Two temperature sensors Connections to Corsair iCue Link system hub Fans other than Corsair fans The Commander Duo is a good option if you don't have any 5v RGB headers on your motherboard OR if you'd rather use Corsair's iCue Software to control the lighting and RGB of your ARGB fans. It's also logical to use if you have ARGB fans in your system and want to add a Corsair iCue Link all in one cooler to your PC but don't want to swap the fans to match. So you can mix and match iCue Link fans and ARGB fans in the same PC. While also controlling both from iCue. There are some downsides though. The ARGB PWM fans need to be daisy chainable. Because there are only two ports for power and two for RGB. So you have to connect a max of 6 to one and 6 to the other. So in the 4500x for example, I connected three on the bottom and three on the side together to one port and then the top radiator fans on a Natulius cooler and the exhaust to a rear fan and to the second port.
