Double Island Point & Rainbow Beach - The Complete 4x4 Daytrip

Thanks everyone for another fantastic group daytrip! I always have a blast guiding you guys and I’m super glad everyone enjoyed themselves! 👏👏 This time the group tackled Double Island Point and Rainbow Beach. The day started off at Noosa North Shore with a great turn out of seven cars in the convoy. 🚙 With aired-down tyres, we hit the beach and were greeted with perfect conditions. The convoy made its way along Teewah Beach – taking in the warm sun and breath-taking scenery. ☀ The first stop was at Red Canyon. Although it was closed, some quick group photos were taken and the drone was sent up to get some wide aerial shots. Following that, the convoy continued its drive north. 🏖 After a quick stop at Freshwater day area, we made our way to Double Island Point to start the lighthouse walk. We were halted in our tracks by some bogged 4bys caught off guard by the soft sand. The convoy breezed past with some right boot. ⚠ A short walk up to the lighthouse and we saw amazing views of sandy beach stretching from Noosa North Shore all the way to Fraser Island. 🔭 We were lucky enough to see a whale playing in the clear blue waves thanks to Tom’s keen eye. 🐳 We made our way down to Rainbow Beach side of Double Island Point to setup for lunch and relax. 🥗 After a quick fish and swim, we continued on our way along the colourful sandy cliffs and dunes, making sure to stop for all the photo opportunities. 📸 Returning back to civilisation and reception (Rainbow Beach), we received news of a snap lockdown back in Brisbane. ⚠ There was no lockdown in Gympie Council, though it was best to cancel our dinner plans at the Surf Life Saving Club. Staying true to our itinerary, we made sure not to miss the sunset at Carlo Sand Blow. 🌄 It was a rush to re-inflated tyres followed by a quick snap at the Rainbow stairs. Time was ticking, however after a brisk walk, we just made it to witness a spectacular warm sunset to end off an amazing day. 💯💯 If you enjoyed the video, please leave a like and comment.
