What you meant for evil (Genesis 50:20)

Verse 1 I walked a road I never chose, Through broken dreams and closing doors. I asked the Lord, "What can this be?" Yet He was writing history. The night was long, the tears were real, But heaven knew what time revealed. The hand that holds eternity Was working far beyond my reach. Verse 2 The pit was deep, the chains were cold, The story looked completely sold. But every trial became a key Unlocking God's great destiny. What looked like loss became His way, Preparing for a brighter day. The Shepherd never left His own, He built a kingdom through the storm. Verse 3 The enemy can plant his schemes, Trying hard to crush our dreams. But every weapon forged in spite Cannot outshine God's holy light. He takes the ashes of our pain, And grows a harvest from the rain. His promises remain the same; Forever faithful is His name. Verse 4 Don't fear the road you cannot see, The Author knows your destiny. The pages turn, His purpose stands, Your future rests within His hands. Today's defeat is not the end; The King is still your closest Friend. Just keep believing, keep the faith, His perfect timing never waits. Chorus What you meant for evil, God turned into good! Mountains start to crumble Just like He said they would! Lift your voice forever, Let the whole world sing! Every broken story Glorifies the King! He is always faithful, Standing by our side! What you meant for evil, God has glorified! Verse 5 The prison walls could never bind The greater purpose God designed. The waiting seasons shaped the soul Until the day He made him whole. No wasted tears, no wasted years, The Father hears His children's prayers. He writes redemption line by line; His perfect will is right on time. Verse 6 When every answer still feels late, Remember who controls your fate. His silence never means He's gone, He's simply bringing dawn along. The darkest valley blooms with grace, His fingerprints are every place. The road may bend beyond your sight, But God is leading through the night. Verse 7 When people speak with hate and pride, The Lord remains your faithful Guide. He turns betrayal into grace, And fills the empty, broken place. His mercy reaches every land, No power can escape His hand. His love is stronger than the grave, Almighty still delights to save. Verse 8 The story isn't over yet, God never breaks the vows He's kept. The seed that's buried in the ground Will rise when His great time comes 'round. Stand firm although you cannot see, Tomorrow holds His victory. The One who spoke creation's birth Still moves with power on this earth. Chorus What you meant for evil, God turned into good! Mountains start to crumble Just like He said they would! Lift your voice forever, Let the whole world sing! Every broken story Glorifies the King! He is always faithful, Standing by our side! What you meant for evil, God has glorified! Verse 9 So if today your hope feels small, Remember who is Lord of all. His plans are higher than our own, No child of God walks all alone. From every valley, every flame, The glory still belongs His name. He turns the ending we once feared Into the reason faith appeared. Bridge You are the God who makes a way, Turning midnight into day. You are the God who never fails, Your mighty promise always prevails. Every sorrow, every scar, Cannot stop how great You are. King forever, Lord of all, You will never let us fall! Verse 10 So raise your hands and testify, Our God is faithful, strong, and wise. He turns the darkest night to dawn, His perfect purpose marches on. From every nation let it ring, Let every heart rejoice and sing. What man intended to destroy, God turned into eternal joy. Forever we will lift His name, Yesterday, today the same. Through every trial this truth stands good: God meant it all for lasting good!
