After a 17-year-long battle with international mining corporations, Ngāti Ruanui are back fighting for the livelihood of their south Taranaki seabed. The ocean played a huge part in the survival of the Ngāti Ruanui people. Almost 700 years later the south Taranaki tribe are fighting to ensure that survival continues.
