Coorg(Kodagu) Kadumbuttu

Measurements for 2 cups rice flour (preferably coarse ground) Water 4 cups Ghee/butter : 1 tsp Shredded coconut: 1/4 cup Salt to taste Boil water in a saucepan. Add salt, ghee and coconut. Lower the flame and slowly add rice flour, keep stirring simultaneously . Cover and cook until its pliable to make balls. Turn off the burner. (make balls while its still hot and use some cold water in your palms) Place balls in a steamer/ idli rack and steam for about 5-10mins. You know its fully done when you can lift each ball without breaking and its firm to touch. Thank you and enjoy this delicacy of Coorg!!!
