Beth Hart inspires and surprises again and again with her unmistakable stage presence and her rousing concerts. For Beth Hart, there is no separation between art and life. She encountered alcohol and drugs as a teenager and was later diagnosed with a mental illness. The blues singer looked into deep abysses in her youth and early adulthood. Oliver Schwabe's film accompanies the musician on the tour bus, doing yoga on stage before the soundcheck and backstage shortly before her performances. The filming locations are large halls and small clubs on the beach in Los Angeles. Beth Hart lets us look over her shoulder in the studio and talks about her way of working, her setbacks and also about her bipolar disorder, which dominates her life but which she now has under control.
