[Reporter] Yes, this is the Coupang logistics center in Seoknam-dong, Incheon. [Anchor] I can see black smoke behind you right now. When was the national fire mobilization order issued? [Reporter] Yes, smoke has been continuously pouring out from the upper floors of the Coupang logistics center building here for the past 10 hours. Bright red flames are soaring, and we could also see the building's exterior cladding crumpled like paper and falling to the ground. As the smoke spread rapidly to the surrounding area, the entire area is being engulfed in black smoke. It was around 6:55 AM today that a report was received regarding a fire on the 6th floor of this 8-story Coupang logistics center building. At 3:15 PM, fire authorities issued a national fire mobilization order and launched an all-out firefighting effort by mobilizing firefighting equipment from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Gangwon. Earlier, fire authorities issued a Level 1 response about two hours after the fire broke out, and raised it to Level 2 around 12:25 PM. [Anchor] The fire needs to be extinguished quickly, so why is the firefighting taking so long? [Reporter] Fire authorities stated that it is because there are many flammable items inside the logistics warehouse, such as household goods stacked three high. They also explained that it is difficult for firefighters to approach the building due to heavy smoke making visibility difficult. So far, one firefighter has been injured and is reportedly receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy after inhaling smoke. It has been confirmed that all 121 employees who were in the building at the time of the fire evacuated on their own and are safe. Fire authorities do not expect any further casualties or that the fire will spread to the surrounding area.
