This one is for my people, the subs or regular viewers. Its a little different from the usual episodes; no deep dives, no skater breakdowns, just me being honest about a rough week and how figure skating got me through it. Life has been hard lately, and Thursday pushed me over the edge in a way that felt out of control. And then I remembered Ilias free skate... specifically, that his worst moment of losing control happened on the biggest stage in the world, in front of everyone, and he handled it with grace. As someone with anxiety who has these moments too, that hit different. So I watched some skating. Felt better. And started thinking about why my figure skating fandom trifecta of Ilia, Alysa, and Amber keep inspiring me. They each model something I need. And I think that's the whole point of this show.
