Bob is crowned King of England. The story brought to you by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment, Minions, begins at the first light of dawn. As simple yellow-celled organisms, the Minions have evolved over the years, serving the most despicable masters. Continually failing to keep these masters—from the T. rex dinosaur to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves with no one left to serve, which plunges them into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan. He—along with the rebellious teenager Stuart and the adorable little Bob—will venture into the outside world in search of a new evil boss for him and his fellow Minions to follow. This trio will embark on an exciting journey that will lead them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the first supervillain in history. They travel from the frigid Antarctic to 1960s New York City, ending up in modern-day London, where they must face one of their greatest challenges: saving the Minion race... from annihilation. Featuring a soundtrack of 1960s hits that still resonate in our culture today, Minions is produced by Chris Melendandri and Janet Healy of Illumination, and directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda. Brian Lynch wrote the screenplay, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer.
