A short video review of the all-season Lotus 5U tent, which I take on multi-day winter fishing trips. I chose this tent because it's an umbrella-style tent, making it quick to set up, and its hemispherical shape is the most wind-resistant. The Lotus 5U tent is double-layered. Its outer layer, made of 300D Oxford fabric, has a water column rating of at least 3000 mm. The inner living capsule is made of 200D Oxford fabric and attached to the tent frame with a 5-centimeter air gap between the layers. This insulating air gap and a 2-kilowatt gas heater ensure a comfortable temperature inside the tent, even in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. Another advantage of this tent is that condensation that forms while cooking or drying clothes freezes on the inside of the outer tent, keeping the living capsule dry. The tent also features fireproof valves built into both the outer and inner layers for the heater exhaust pipe. They are made of silica fiberglass that can withstand temperatures up to 1000°C, allowing you to install any heating equipment, including a wood stove! Most importantly, the interior volume of the Lotus 5U tent allows two people to rest comfortably during multi-day fishing trips, as it accommodates two folding beds, a table, and heating equipment.
