Spanish in the World: The Cervantes Institute Yearbook is the main academic publication of the Cervantes Institute, in which the most relevant data on the Spanish language worldwide are updated annually. This year's edition also reviews the situation of Spanish in Spanish-speaking countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, and Peru. Furthermore, this edition includes a section dedicated to reflecting on "Language and Culture," which addresses the presence of Spanish in music, television series, video games, education, and science. Finally, the section dedicated to reports from the Cervantes Institute includes articles on the geography of Spanish, the value of certification, and the pedagogy of Spanish.
