Bass note strumming pattern is a foundational beginner guitar strumming pattern that I believe every guitarist should learn once they've learned all the basic open guitar chords. In this beginner guitar tutorial you'll learn how to add bass notes to your strumming. This must know strumming technique is the ability to strum just the bass note of whichever chord you are playing. When you have picked this bass note, which is usually the 6th, 5th or 4th string of the guitar, you then strum the rest of the chord. Adding bass notes to your strumming can instantly raise your guitar playing.
