Pêche à pied : belle récolte !

Tidal management in the Rance estuary allows us to fish for the spring tides early. The Rance dam regulates the tides: today, the sea will recede very low, and all the infralittoral species will be accessible to shore fishermen. In this estuary, which at this point (Pointe de Cancaval) is a marine environment, the intertidal zone is very rich. As a result, we catch numerous species: lobsters, abalone, velvet crabs, scallops, clams, and many other shellfish. The harvest is excellent! But this day is also magnificent for its naturalist aspect: I present many interesting species such as the giant blenny, the pipefish, the sea hare, the sand snail, and the starry botryllus. I also catch a fish of the genus Tripterygion, a first in northern Brittany to my knowledge!
