The Magic of Sakura BMPCC4K + SLR Magic 8mm | Tokyo, Japan | Sample Footage

Here are some monopod and handheld tests with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K using the SLR Magic 8mm F4.0 MFT lens. All tests were shot in Tokyo, Japan. I shot this just before lockdown, just a few shots within walking distance from my home. I wanted to test using the camera with a small monopod for handheld-style shooting. Everything was stabilized in DaVinci Resolve, but no gimbal was used. The SLR Magic 8mm combined with 60P helped create very stable and smooth motion. The monopod used was the Velbon L60, which is very light, compact, and easy to carry in a bag. Everything is shot in 12:1 BRAW 4K DCI 24P / 60P. All of the footage was shot in ISO 400. Most of the footage was shot at F5.6. As for grading, I did only basic color correction using film tools. Edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve 16.
