The Polish Army marches to Jasna Góra. 32nd Soldiers' Pilgrimage. Częstochowa, August 14, 2025 The 32nd Military Walking Pilgrimage arrived at Jasna Góra on the eve of Polish Armed Forces Day. Marching under the slogan "Pilgrims of Hope," participants covered hundreds of kilometers to reach Częstochowa on August 14. Among the 400 pilgrims were not only Polish soldiers but also representatives from Lithuania, Slovakia, Germany, and the United States. The pilgrims were accompanied by 14 chaplains, 11 from Poland and three from abroad. The route began with the longest leg – 44 kilometers – and the following days were filled with prayer and fellowship. The history of the Military Pilgrimage dates back to 1991, when it set off for the first time, joining the Warsaw Walking Pilgrimage, also known as the Pauline Pilgrimage. Today, it forms part of the Warsaw Academic Metropolitan Pilgrimage. It has experienced interruptions throughout its history, including in 1997 due to flooding and in 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
